Middletons heating and cooling (Western Heating and Cooling) was started by Barrie Middleton in 1965 and operated from a home office until 1981.When Barrie started out on his own, the business mainly focused on oil heaters and converting stoves to oil. In the old days Barrie worked from the garage at home. The shop opened in 1981 in the same location we still operate from today! The display as you can see from the photos was huge at the time with a wide variety of Potbellies and wood stoves. Over the years we have seen a lot of changes in the popularity of different types of heating including the rise and fall of oil heating, the inverter technology in reverse cycle and the high efficiency of gas ducted furnaces. Daniel Middleton started as an apprentice in 1986 and has been in the business ever since! Barrie retired in 2000, Daniel and Jody have been managing the business from then. Lucas Moloney started his apprenticeship in 2008 and with his wealth of experience now helps manage this ever expanding family business. We currently have a team of 7 installers working from Geelong to Port Fairy and all locations between. I wonder how many families have had heating or cooling fitted in all of those years? Daniel and Jody have 4 sons and you can be assured we will be here to help for a long time to come!
